Description

Engineers use both science and technology to turn ideas into reality, devising all sorts of things, ranging from a tiny, low-cost battery for your cell phone to a gigantic dam across the mighty Yangtze River in China.

Prerequisites

Read and understand the Engineering Merit Badge requirements.

Read the Engineering Merit Badge Pamphlet and have the worksheet http://usscouts.org/mb/worksheets/Engineering.pdf   to record what you learn and your prerequisite work.  If you don’t understand one of the
requirements note down the question and we’ll discuss it in the class.

Point 2, 5, and 9 need to be discussed in class:

2.  prepare to present
5. Learn (search "Engineering Approach to design") then design and build, take a photo of you creation to share
9. Research, think about, three career opportunities, be ready to share
